Although I’ve since left Infocomm Investments, it’s always heartening to know that your past investments are continuing to do well amidst the downturn. The news was all the more welcomed, since Sconce Solutions was my first ever venture deal. Accel India (f.k.a. Erasmic Ventures) and Infocomm Investments closed the investment in February 2008.
Sconce released its preimier high end Shape Search Product – Bingo! at the PTC User event on June 9, 2009 at Orlando, Florida, USA. Driven by unique, powerful and accurate shape identification engine, Bingo! enables automatic part classification, efficient indexing based on shape, and fast similar-search on small to large library of 3D models. Bingo! is designed to integrate as an essential tool for companies adopting Design Reuse. Design Reuse is extremely important and survey says that 30% to 40% of new parts designed either already exists or have similar parts that can be used as a base model to start.Bingo!’s CAD/PLM neutral architecture integrates easily with all the major CAD and PLM systems.
Mey’s a solid, well-grounded CEO who combines his deep domain knowledge of the PLM/MCAD world with an earnest desire to bring about the greatest possible value to his customers. I have faith that he and the team would be able to scale to greater heights with Bingo!. All the best, Mey!
Bingo! is a cross-platform (UGS, Autodesk, Pro/E, etc) 2D/3D geometry-based search product that can encourage design reuse. Let me know if you’re keen to find out more so I can put you in touch with Mey directly.
